26 ZEE Luanda-Bengo plants to start operation in 2013
Luanda - The Angolan State-owned Oil Company (Sonangol)’s Executive Committee for Industrial Investments will put in operation 26 industrial plants under the Luanda-Bengo Special Economic Zone (ZEE) by early 2013.
The information was released on Monday in Luanda by the director of Business of Oil Company’s Industrial Investment (SIIND), Gaspar Neto.
Gaspar Neto said so while speaking at the inauguration of five plants and a wastewater treatment unit at Luanda-Bengo ZEE.
The official assured that by 2014 the SIIND programme foresees to have 53 plants under the Luanda- Bengo ZEE.
The industrial activity at ZEE Luanda-Bengo has generated 3,600 jobs until May this year. Founded on 7 October, 2010, the SIIND is tasked with promoting, developing and coordinating the management of Soangol EP and subsidiaries industrial projects being implemented at Luanda-Bengo ZEE.
